I had a great time this morning with four visitors from England, who I took on a driving tour of WWII sites around the island. We visited some coastal forts, the Mirus battery and the Underground Hospital, saw the memorial to Hubert Nicolle MC at Icart and enjoyed a coffee and cake at Vistas.
Telling the story of the occupation of the Channel Islands through a combination of historical stats, personal stories and physical exploration was an absolute pleasure!
We even made time to visit the Little Chapel, a must-see for any visitors!
