More About Me

My background is in architecture, where I developed a deep appreciation for problem-solving within complex social, cultural, and environmental contexts. Over time, my work moved beyond buildings alone, towards the wider question of how people relate to land, identity, and one another, and how thoughtful place-making can shape the future of community.

Through Corbeau, that work has evolved into a broader studio for ideas. Drawing on experience across conservation, housing, civic projects, and community engagement, I now focus on the bigger picture: exploring belonging, ecological awareness, and the stories that influence how places grow and change. Writing, narrative thinking, and creative philosophy sit alongside design as ways of understanding the world and imagining alternative futures.

Place-making remains at the heart of this work, not simply as a professional discipline but as a cultural practice. I am interested in how listening, storytelling, and shared imagination can transform the way people participate in shaping their environments, moving beyond consultation toward genuine connection and collective authorship.

Corbeau is therefore less a consultancy and more a space for reflection, exploration, and quiet provocation. Through essays, fiction, poetry, and conceptual work, I explore how we might live with greater care for the living world and for each other, particularly within the fragile landscapes of small island communities.
